All in-person workshops are held at our Ottawa studio at 2784 Lancaster Rd, Unit C, unless otherwise specified.
There is plenty of free parking available near the shop.
Yes, gift cards are a wonderful way to treat someone to a creative experience. They can be used toward selected workshops or applied to a future date. We sell both gift cards for group workshops and cards for private classes.
You do not need to bring anything for the floral portion—everything is provided. Comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended, as most likely you will be standing and working with water and greenery. If you like, you may bring a notebook or take photos during the process for your own reference.
No experience is required. Many of our workshops are designed for beginners, and we guide you step by step. We also offer intermediate and more advanced sessions for students or florists who already have some (or many years) design experience. Each workshop description will clearly indicate the suggested skill level.
Group size depends on the type of workshop. Our group workshops are kept intentionally small to ensure individual guidance (between 6 to 10 people - we usually indicate that in the workshop description).
Private and corporate workshops can often accommodate larger groups (the largest we have done was 75 people). Please contact us with your approximate number of guests, and we will let you know the best options.
Registrations are non-refundable, but with at least 3 days’ notice we are happy to transfer your spot to another date or allow you to gift your seat to a friend. For private and corporate bookings, specific terms will be outlined in your proposal and contract.
Most workshops run approximately 1.5–2.5 hours, depending on the design and level of detail. Private and corporate sessions can often be adjusted to fit your schedule and event format.
All fresh florals, greenery, materials, and tools are included. We also provide a vessel or transportation base for your design. You will leave with the arrangement you created, along with new skills and practical tips you can use again!

Our calendar follows the seasons, with workshops inspired by what’s naturally beautiful at that time of year. Think spring blooms and garden-style bouquets, relaxed summer arrangements, autumn centerpieces and Thanksgiving tablescapes, winter wreaths, and festive holiday designs. Each seasonal class is tailored to the flowers available and the mood of the season.
Special Interest Workshops
For guests who want something a little different, we host special interest workshops that dive into specific styles and techniques, such as:
- Flower crowns and wearable florals
- Statement centerpieces and tablescapes
- Installations and larger-scale design elements
- Garden-inspired, asymmetrical, or more sculptural arrangements
These sessions are wonderful for guests with some experience, creative hobbyists, or florists-in-training who want to explore more advanced ideas in a guided setting.

Private Workshops
Private workshops are a lovely way to celebrate and connect. We regularly design sessions for:

We’ll work with you to choose an appropriate level (from beginner-friendly to more advanced), a theme, and a color palette. Everything is prepared for your group, so you can simply arrive, enjoy the experience, and leave with your creations.

Nectar Flowers is an Ottawa-based floral design studio known for colorful, bold, and artful arrangements. Our workshop instructors are practicing florists who work with flowers every day, bringing real-world experience and a deep love of design to each class.
Led by Kseniia, our owner and floral lead, our team offers:
- Over 15 years of hands-on floral experience
- A strong art background, including a master’s degree in arts
- A European-inspired approach to color, composition, and styling
